2 Corinthians 5:21
21: For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
1 Peter 2:22
- He never sinned, and he never deceived anyone.
- He did not retaliate when he was insulted. When he suffered, he did not threaten to get even. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly.
- He personally carried away our sins in his own body on the cross so we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. You have been healed by his wounds!
1 Peter 3:18
- Christ also suffered when he died for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners that he might bring us safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.
Galatians 3:13
- But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."
Romans 5:19

Hebrews 4:15
- This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same temptations we do, yet he did not sin.
2 Corinthians 5:17
- What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!
Romans 10:3
- For they don't understand God's way of making people right with himself. Instead, they are clinging to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law. They won't go along with God's way.
- For Christ has accomplished the whole purpose of the law. All who believe in him are made right with God.
Romans 3:21
- But now God has shown us a different way of being right in his sight--not by obeying the law but by the way promised in the Scriptures long ago.
- We are made right in God's sight when we trust in Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, no matter who we are or what we have done.
- For all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious standard.
- Yet now God in his gracious kindness declares us not guilty. He has done this through Christ Jesus, who has freed us by taking away our sins.
- For God sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to satisfy God's anger against us. We are made right with God when we believe that Jesus shed his blood, sacrificing his life for us. God was being entirely fair and just when he did not punish those who sinned in former times.
Romans 8:1
- So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
- For the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you through Christ Jesus from the power of sin that leads to death.
- The law of Moses could not save us, because of our sinful nature. But God put into effect a different plan to save us. He sent his own Son in a human body like ours, except that ours are sinful. God destroyed sin's control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.
- He did this so that the requirement of the law would be fully accomplished for us who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.
Romans 1:17
- This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, "It is through faith that a righteous person has life."
Romans 4:25
- He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised from the dead to make us right with God.
1 John 2:1
- My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if you do sin, there is someone to plead for you before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who pleases God completely.
- He is the sacrifice for our sins. He takes away not only our sins but the sins of all the world.
Ephesians 5:2
- Live a life filled with love for others, following the example of Christ, who loved you and gave himself as a sacrifice to take away your sins. And God was pleased, because that sacrifice was like sweet perfume to him.
Isaiah 53:9

- In that day Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will live in safety. And their motto will be `The LORD is our righteousness!'
Hebrews 7:26
- He is the kind of high priest we need because he is holy and blameless, unstained by sin. He has now been set apart from sinners, and he has been given the highest place of honor in heaven.
